The Center for Economic Development is a public service division of the College of Business Administration that helps to create new and broader economic development opportunities for the people living throughout the State of Louisiana. The Center strives to meet this goal by matching the resources of the university with the needs of government and community based economic development organizations. The Center at UNO is part of a network of over 60 university center programs funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration throughout the United States which help to direct the technical and human resources of institutions of higher education to their surrounding communities.
