  The Institute for Economic Development & Real Estate Research is a public service division of the College of Business Administration under the direction of Dr. Ivan J. Miestchovich, Jr. that combines the resources of the Center for Economic Development and the Real Estate Research Center. The primary goal of the Institute is to provide technical assistance and applied research for public, private and nonprofit organizations throughout its service area.

** 2009 Mid-Year Review of real estate trends in the New Orleans Market is available with purchase of the Opportunities & Challenges Ahead edition of the Metropolitan New Orleans Real Estate Market Analysis. The Mid-Year review is an analysis of selected economic, construction activity and house price trends (commercial and apartment markets are not included). Click here for order form.

- Our project "Housing Supply/Demand Profile in the GO Zone" has been selected as one of three winning finalists for the University Economic Development Association's (UEDA) 2009 Awards of Excellence competition in the category of Excellence in Economic Development Research. Selection of the "Best in Excellence" will be determined in October at UEDA's Summit on Higher Education and Economic Development among the three winners in each category.
